پنجاب کے علاقے خیرپور ٹامیوالی میں رعد البرق نامی فوجی مشقیں ہوئیں جس کی اختتامی تقریب میں بّری فوج کے سربراہ جنرل راحیل شریف اور وزیر اعظم نواز شریف نے بھی شرکت کی۔

Raheel Sharif inspected the military exercises Raad-ul-Barq

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif inspected the military exercises Raad-ul-Barq conducted by the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force at Khairpur Tamewali near Bahawalpur, a strategic area near the border. The exercise, held just days after seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in cross-border firing across the Line of Control, was intended to survey the combat-readiness of troops. PM Nawaz warned against “any ambitious and reckless move by enemies”, saying that the exercises reflect the preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces to “respond to any threat to national security.”

Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud meets General Raheel Sharif

Prince Muhammad bin Salman also met Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif. During the meeting, regional security with particular focus on Middle East, issues of bilateral relations including defence cooperation and collaboration came under discussion, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release issued on early Monday stated.

 

 

General Raheel Sharif, visited the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters

General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) today visited the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters. On arrival at headquarters, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, DG ISI. COAS was briefed in detail about the internal and external security situation of the country. The COAS appreciated the role played by the ISI for national security and lauded the contributions and sacrifices of its officers and men towards strengthening the defence of the motherland.

Intermediate Range Shaheen 1A (Hatf IV) Ballistic Missile

Pakistan today conducted a successful test launch of Intermediate Range Shaheen 1A (Hatf IV) Ballistic Missile. The successful launch was aimed at re-validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system. Shaheen1A Missile is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to a range of 900 Kms. Today’s launch, with impact point in Arabian Sea, was witnessed by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Lieutenant General Obaid Ullah Khan,Vice Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi, Commander Pakistan Fleet, Chairman NESCOM, Mr Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, congratulated the scientists and engineers for their dedication, professionalism and commitment towards achieving Pakistan’s Full Spectrum Credible Minimum Deterrence Capability. Shaheen-1A with its highly accurate and indigenously developed guidance system is amongst the most accurate Missile System. He reiterated Pakistan’s desire for peaceful co-existence in the region. He appreciated the professional attributes of all concerned towards accomplishment of the sacred mission. He showed his full confidence over the Pakistan Armed Forces’ capability to safeguard security of the Mother Land against any aggression.
The successful test launch has also been warmly appreciated by the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan who congratulated the participating troops, the scientists and engineers on their outstanding achievement.
