پاک بحریہ کی مشقیں : امن -2017

بحیرہ عرب میں جاری پاک بحریہ کی کثیرالقومی مشقوں ’امن-2017‘ کے دوران دشمنوں کے حملوں کو ناکام بنانے کی مشقیں کی گئیں امن مشقوں میں امریکا، برطانیہ، سری لنکا، فرانس اور ملائیشیا سمیت دنیا کے 35 سے زائد ممالک کی بحری افواج شامل ہے۔ پاکستان بحریہ امن مشقوں کا انعقاد پر 2 سال بعد کرتی ہے، جب کہ یہ مسلسل چھٹی اور تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی امن مشقیں ہیں۔ بحریہ کی امن مشقوں کا مقصد دشمن کی جانب سے سمندری حملوں کا مقابلہ کرنا، ملکی سمندری حدود سمیت دیگر سرحدوں کی حفاظت کو یقینی بنانا اور امن کو فروغ دینا ہے۔

Naval, PAF Chiefs witness exercise ‘Sea Spark’

Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah and Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Monday witnessed the ongoing exercise “Sea Spark.”Both the Chiefs flew by the Karakorum Eagle-03 AWACS aircraft for a surveillance mission. After observing the exercise from the air both the chiefs went on board Pakistan Navy (PN) ship to witness the ongoing activities at sea.
While interacting with the participating crew, both the Chiefs expressed satisfaction over the professionalism and synergy between Pakistan Navy and PAF. Exercise Sea Spark has provided an opportunity to validate the joint war fighting concepts. Chief of Naval Staff appreciated the professional commitment, joint operations and the combat potential of AWACS in maritime operational environment and said, this exercise has given exposure to the Air and Naval crews in near realistic environment.

Pakistan Navy War College

The Naval War College is the Pakistan Navy academic establishment providing training and education primarily to the mid-career officers of Pakistan Navy as well as to a limited number of officers from Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army and various Allied forces. It is located at The Mall Road Lahore.
The College was previously affiliated with Bahria University but has recently been affiliated with the National Defence University (NDU) along with other staff and war colleges of Pakistan Army and Air Force. 
History 
The genesis of PN War College started with PN Staff School at Manora Island off Karachi in 1968 to conduct Junior Staff Courses to teach elementary staff work, which was later upgraded to War College in 1971 n shifted to PNS Karsaz. In 1995, the College was shifted to Lahore with a dedicated building on Mall Road, which was inaugurated in August 1996. 25th PN Staff Course commenced in Lahore and the college has been conducting regular staff courses ever since. 
Courses 
PN War college conducts Staff Course for officers of Pakistan Navy. Around 60 to 65 officers of Pakistan Navy, with 2 officers each from Army and Air Force, and 10 to 12 International students from various countries attend this year-long course. The course is quite demanding consisting of staff skills related studies, naval operational art, military history, war games, research paper and a large number of lectures delivered by prominent national and international guest speakers. On successful completion of Staff Course, the participants are awarded ‘psn’ symbol by the College and M.Sc. in War Studies by NDU, Islamabad.
